Inlays and onlays are often used where a tooth needs a larger filling that extends over the corner, called a cusp. Normally made of porcelain on a model from your mouth, these restorations are stronger than fillings and enable us to make a damaged tooth look as good as new again. Preparing a tooth for an onlay takes away less of the natural material than a crown does, whilst still protecting it. Bonded in, the final restoration leaves your mouth looking beautiful and feeling strong again.
