Comprehensive Smile Design Consultation
An assessment of a clients smile requires the observation of a number of features, not just the size, shape and colour of the teeth, but their relationship to each other from an aesthetic point of view and how they move over each other during eating, swallowing and speaking.
In addition, consideration needs to be given to the tissues that surround the teeth, including the gums, the lips and the rest of the face, so that change works in harmony with the whole face and smile and not just the teeth in isolation.

In order to assess all of these aspects thoroughly, a number of records need to be taken and considered carefully before a comprehensive treatment plan can be reliably provided.
A Smile Design Consultation is necessary where multiple teeth need to be restored so that all of the above factors can be considered together.
A Smile Design Consultation at the Victoria Jones Dental Studio includes digital intra-oral and extra-oral pictures and x-rays of the teeth to be restored. Mounted study models are used in addition to a clinical occlusal examination to assess how the teeth move over each other.
Following this the records will remain with the dentist whilst they consider all of the information and put together a comprehensive treatment plan for you. A second review appointment will then be booked approximately two weeks later, to discuss the outcome of the consultation and the recommended treatment options.
The cost of this consultation, including the records mentioned above and the review appointment costs £189.
