Advanced Periodontal Work
Teeth require a healthy foundation, there is no point having the most amazing dental work completed if the gums are swollen and inflamed and the supporting bone is breaking down. Sadly we often encounter new clients where their gum condition has been poorly managed, if at all, in the past and they come to us requiring quite significant work to stabilise the disease that has been allowed to develop.
Unlike toothache, diseases of the gums do not tend to cause any symptoms until it is almost too late, resulting in mobile teeth requiring extraction, as the bone supporting the teeth in the jaw has been lost over time.

Regular maintenance with the hygienist can help to prevent these problems in relatively healthy patients, but if gum problems have become established, then intensive appointments with the dentist are often required in order to stabilise the condition. In severe cases referral to a Periodontal Specialist may also be necessary.
Treatment for Periodontal conditions will vary on a case by case basis depending on the time likely to be involved to treat the condition. The hourly rate for periodontal work at the studio is £262.50 per hour. Adjunctive therapies such as topical antibiotics are charged as an additional cost.
