Implants

Where a tooth has been lost it is possible for it to be replaced by having a titanium screw placed in the bone and then placing a porcelain crown on top of this to fill the space.

Implants currently have an excellent track record of success. The main advantage of an implant over a bridge is that it prevents the need for grinding the teeth either side of the space and helps to preserve your natural teeth for longer.

If you would like an implant please come and see us for an initial consultation first. Implants need to planned around your existing dentition as once placed they cannot be moved without removing them completely. It is important that your teeth are in the correct position and in suitable health prior to this treatment.

Once the preliminary assessment and work to improve your dental health has been completed, we refer you to a specialist for the surgical aspect of your treatment. Once this is completed you will return to us for the implant to be resotre with a porcelain crown in harmony with your remaining teeth.

The cost of restoring an implant at the Victoria Jones Dental Studio is £1200, the surgical aspect of your treatment will be quoted to you separately by the specialist.
