At the Victoria Jones Dental Studio we feel that every successful treatment plan begins with a comprehensive examination that enables us to investigate every aspect of your mouth.

This consultation includes:

• thorough assessment of your teeth assessing for:

  • decay
  • broken down fillings
  • areas of recession near the gums

• thorough assessment of your gums including:

  • general oral hygiene status
  • areas of gum inflammation and bleeding
  • areas of bone loss around the teeth

• basic assessment of your occlusion (the way your teeth meet together) including:

  • areas of general damage caused by tooth grinding
  • damage to existing fillings caused by tooth grinding
  • areas of chipping and 'crazing' caused by tooth grinding

• Full mouth oral cancer check including:

  • cheeks
  • lips
  • palate
  • tongue
  • and floor of the mouth

• digital x-rays

• intra-oral camera images

By using an intra-oral camera to display pictures of your teeth and digital x-rays which are processed immediately, an interactive consultation can take place which enables you to better understand why work to your mouth may be necessary.

Using these tools you will be much more involved in the decisions affecting your ongoing care. By understanding the problems in your mouth, decisions regarding treatment are much more under your control.

Following discussion and agreement a detailed treatment plan will be provided for you outlining the appointments required and the associated costs of treatment. A copy of any relevant pictures will also be provided if desired.

An Initial Dental Health and Beauty Consultation takes approximately 30 minutes and costs £59.70.
